I've neglected posting links to theme-song-worthy music in recent months. (And I seem to remember writing something about slowing down my pace for posting. *sigh*) Here's one with a nice beat. Now that the inauguration is complete, serious political business starts. I'd hope that this sentiment might catch on. It's been 4 decades, though, and I've met only a few people who speak less than me. I guess I shouldn't hold my breath being too hopeful. Baby steps, I guess. Baby steps. Humans can become something different (better) but slowly.
OWL
A wise old owl, sat in an oak.
The more he saw, the less he spoke.
The less he spoke, the more he heard.
Why can't we all be like that wise old bird?
And Owl, he felt so little, he thought.
Oh, in ideas, Owl never got caught.
Without a doubt, he stayed true in the world.
Don't you wish we could all be like that wise old bird?
Why can't we all be like him?
He's a wise old bird.
And there Owl sat in his oak tree.
Looking at you, looking at me.
And when he saw the things we do,
he suddenly made himself heard:
"You should try to be like me!
I'm a wise old bird.
Why can't you all be like me?
Why can't you all be like me?
I'm a wise old bird."
When you hear him at night, singing who-who,
all he's really asking you is:
"Why... tell me why... why?
Why can't you all be like me?
Why can't you all be like me?
I'm a wise old bird.
Why can't you all be like me?
Why can't you all be like me?
I'm a wise old bird."
