local folk: a recent death
Dan sent this email to me late last night...
"Mike Shiminsky, a/k/a Metrobear, MnMike, Mikey... Mike the Busdriver and other designations, passed away unexpectedly in his home sometime in the past few days. He was found saturday by friends who hadn't heard from him.
No funeral service is planned but there will likely be a get together of his friends next saturday as a soon as a location is identified."

p.s. Ah, it looks like another LJer has mentioned it too. (A locked post, sorry.) Apparently a suicide.
