ok yeah, so I'm actually going to start writing in this again I think, I would get a new one but I'm too lazy and I wouldn't be able to think of a name.
Anyways, so my summer so far has been pretty good except for working at 7 in the morning, meaning waking up at 530. So we finally got rid of all my family. Here's how everything came about. So my mom went to Nova Scotia to visit my grandma for two weeks, then came back and my grandma came with her. They got back on the 27th of July, then on the 28th we had our floors redone (we got hardwood floors in my kitchen), then on the 29th my uncle and aunt from Newfoundland came. My uncle and aunt brought cookies and candy from Newfoundland, it's a brand called Purity and its so good, there was so much. We showed them around a bit but my dad mostly just talked with my uncle and aunt about growing up in Newfoundland. My uncle is my dad's brother and then my aunt is his wife, she talked a lot, my uncle not so much, but when he did I had know idea what he said. He has the Newfie accent, mumble, and the fast talk, if it was just the accent i could have handled that, but with everything else i couldnt understand him a bit. so they were here for a few days then they left. Then on the 6th of August my aunt from Nova Scotia came in to bring my grandma back. while she was here we went to Folklorama. One night we went to the Italian privilion which was really good, they kept playing up the fact that they won the world cup, after that we went to the African-Carribean one, which wasn't all that great, the only thing i liked about that show was the guy doing the limbo, he went super low, then set it on fire, then ate the fire. that was pretty cool, but otherwise it wasnt that great. the next time we went to the irish ireland pivilion which was super good. they had a skit, they did some sing-a-longs, and they had their dancers who were super good even the little kids were really good, if you looked at their feet they were all in time with each other. they even brought in a brother and sister from ireland to dance, the sister is the best in the world for her age group and the brother is the best in the world. they were crazy good. the sister is younger than me, probably like 16 and the brother was probably like 23ish. after the irish one we wanted to go to the cuba one, but it was sold out, so right next door there was the indo-tropical paradise one, that wasnt good at all. the guy hosting it talked to much, i just really didnt like it. then the next day my grandma and aunt left, the same day that those people in england were caught for trying to blow up planes going to the states, so they couldnt bring any toothpaste, shampoo, no liquids what so ever.
So while my grandma was here I had to sleep in my brother's room because he is out of town and i had to give my room up to my grandma. I'm never sleeping in that room again. Since its in the basement its freezing cold, i just really didnt like it. one day when i had to go to work i woke up and i was in the shower, then my finger starts to hurt so i look at it and theres a green line on it so i try to brush it off, but it wont come off, so i think its a splinter so i start to pull it out, i finally get it out on its on my nail and it starts to move, so at that point i started to scream and freak out, so im hoping it wasnt a tick, yeah i was not happy after that, and waking up at 530 im already unhappy.
so anyways im back in my room now and its so nice! ok so after going to the irish pivilion i decided that i wanted to go again and i knew krista has never been to any before i thought she would like the irish on so on thrusday night we went. it was a different show than the night before but it was still good. and the crazy good irish dancers were still there. kyle maurice (kristas brother) said he was volunteering there, but it turns out he was acutally preforming in the pipe band that was playing. so we watched the so and he starts texting krista as to where we were so he finally found us after we were right in front of him. so once the irish dancer was done he was standing off to the side and kyle went to go talk to him but he scared him off, i made up a conversation to go with it, but i think the dancer actaully just had to go somewhere. so throughout the show i saw some people who graduated from dakota in past years, blain, marshall fries, andrea houssin, so at the end of the show were waiting for our ride and we see blain, marshall, pat hansen, and a few other people go up and stage, turns out the were preforming in the next show. so my and krista are like oh dear lord, so we were leaving and this leprichan comes up to us and is like arent you guys staying and were like umm no because that band that is about to play we know them from our school and we just found this so funny for some reason and then krista is like my brother is also in a skirt so i think its time to leave and the guy is like its not a skirt its a kilt and kristas like its a skirt and then im like they arent even irish and kristas like dont say that here. so we go outside to wait and the security gaurd starts to talk to us, who was kind of cute asking if we ewre going back in or not, but we said no we were going home, but then our curiousity got the best of us and we wanted to go back in and see if the band had started to play and the security guard it like ok just go sneak in because we didnt get a stamp to say that we already paid. we went in and they were just warming up and we found it funny because they dont know who we are but we know them so it just makes it more funny for some reason and then we see the leprichaun guy kissing people as they were going in so we decided we should leave and we did then the security guy said something to us and then we left because our ride was here.
anyways that was a bit of my summer, i acutally did do more than that, but i think this is plenty long already and if you read this all, all i have to say is wow, i probably would have fallen asleep already. anyways yeah ok
bye!
