I keep going in search of necessary items and coming up with cookies instead. It goes something like,"Craaaap, where's my cell phone? Maybe it'll turn up later. In the meantime, these chocolate pecan balls will do," or "Better not forget deodorant. Hey, gingersnaps!" I don't know if I should consider this a problem.
Today is Rachel's 5th birthday party. We're going bowling. Last year I made her this cake. The white, sad looking dog is Joey, and Rachel loves him. She also loves to swim, so this year I made her a pool cake. It's set up to look like Rachel's snorkeling through the cake, and Joey is hangin' out on top, clinging to a pool noodle. She better like it! My boss says we could do a different Joey-themed cake every year, but I worry that next year will be the 'In memory of Joey' cake. The poor guy's lookin' a little rough.
