I don't know when when we get to move in yet, but the owners are leaving this weekend, so soon. So effin sweet. I LOVE THIS HOUSE!
Last night Mark and I went to Healdsburg for dinner at Karen's, and when we got there we were surprised with a field trip to a party at Jimtown Store. Haley worked there for years and I've always heard a lot about it and it was rad to finally see the place. So adorable. If you're ever in Alexander Valley don't miss it. The owner of the store was really sweet and the food and drinks she was serving were amazing. Afterward we headed back to Karen's and I proceeded to drink way too much. Apparently I do that a lot. It's way too easy when you're unemployed!
I've been spending approximately 39475878129 hours a day writing cover letters, hunting through job listings, and filling out apps, but today I took some time out to do some actual cooking, something I haven't been doing nearly enough of. I made this, with mushrooms instead of bacon (so good), and I had some extra cooked beets so I decided to make this, which was fun to make and really tasty. Surprisingly nice texture. Getting to use my mom's KitchenAid stand mixer def helped.
