I did it...
So I did it... I dropped the bomb on my MIL.
I told her that I didn't think I wanted people hanging around the hospital waiting on me to pop the kid out. I told her I'd call her when I went into labor and that she could start down this way but that I didn't want people to come to the hospital until I was ready for company.
Seriously though, I don't know how I'm going to feel, I don't know what my labor is going to be like. And I sure as hell don't want to feel obligated to see people right after I have labor just because they drove three hours and waited around in the waiting room. Because yes, the waiting room is as far as she'd be allowed to go. That woman stresses me out now, I can only imagine how much I'd hate her being in labor.
I think she was kind of upset but i don't really care. I am the one carrying this baby, it was my egg that got fertilized and quite frankly I will determine when I am ready to see people.
Yes my mom will be there, yes my grandma may be there. My mom will be there as my labor partner and because well, I'm sure it will soothe me as I journey into the great realm of pain unknown to me. But don't you doubt for a second I will boot her out if she gets on my nerves. lol. I'm serious. I don't feel like I should have to make everyone else happy just because they're family. Whatever.
Okay I just needed to get that off of my chest.
Oh, and she's already pissed me off today. Stupid woman told me that she was going to send out some baby shower invitations, and I asked her to tell me who, and she said she'd email the list. Still waiting on that (not holding my breath on getting it). I asked if she was sending one to Casey's sister b/c I didn't have her address. She said yes. THat was like a freaking week ago. TOday she tells me to send her one, gives me her address, and tells me to send one to Ashley's MIL too. Ugh!!! Seriously? I wanted to tell her I ran out of invitations just because she told me she was taking care of invites for her people. *rolls eyes*
Do you understand now why I want her no where near me while I"m in labor? I don't even want her in the same state!!!
