A/N: Okay, this is the first thing I've written for this pairing since last September so I might be a little rusty
It was over. Nothing could be done to stop the apocalypse. God didn’t care anymore so why should he? The best thing he could do to save the world was to say yes and let Michael deal with everything. A lot of people would die but at least the number would be smaller than if he kept saying no. Sam would hate him for it but would get over it eventually. Besides, Sam’s heaven didn’t involve him anyways so if he said yes, wouldn’t that mean Sam was in heaven?
He wanted to say yes, but then the image of Castiel popped into his head. Castiel had given everything to help him and if Dean said yes, all of Castiel’s sacrifices would be for not. But if he said yes and helped the world, maybe God would forgive Castiel and let him back into heaven. It was a big maybe but it was enough to get him to think about saying yes and it was a big risk that he was willing to take; all so Castiel could go home again.
