oh man. i feel like i haven't posted anything decent in forever.
i finally uploaded some art i did for school on DA, but nothing great. /and then i fell into one of those 'my art isn't good enough' moods, so i hid everything in my gallery again. '_' at least i resisted the urge to delete everything instead?
but
this is pretty much the reason you haven't seen much from me in a while.
i've been trying to be good and finish it before starting anything else (it is a commission after all, and the commissioner has been waiting long enough. /man, this person must have the patience of a saint.), but finishing the background is such a daunting task, it's halted everything instead.
It wasn't even supposed to BE this complicated of a background. what the hell am i doing?
and it's all wrong, too. =.= well maybe its level of complication will make up for my lack of judgement. and unfortunately for me, color pencils require a lot of foresight as they are very unforgiving.
but i am just not that kind of artist. so heaven knows why i practice color pencils as my best technique.
the only other medium i'm good at is pastel. but pastels are bulky.
so this brings me to this other thing i'm working on?
I'm thinking.. i'll do the background on computer? because. it needs a background. a good one. i'll hate myself otherwise.
but i'm wondering if it won't be just as difficult as doing it in color pencil. i mean, i've lost all confidence in drawing things on computer. I'm too hooked on making it look perfect when i should be handling it as i would pastels or paints? and then i'm wondering if it won't just look weird being digital with a traditional background.
in semi-unrelated news, when i flipped this picture i realized Marcus had REALLY girly hands. wat.
