I just started listening to Marley & Me. I linked to the Amazon page full of one star reviews because that's how I suspect I will feel about the book...
I'm only into it two chapters and am already annoyed. Annoyed by the cutesy perfection of this newlywed couples' life, annoyed at Jenny's obtuse thinking that having a puppy will prepare her for motherhood, annoyed at all of the stunningly self-absorbed reasons this couple decides to get a dog. Annoyed at their lack of research, annoyed at their daydreams that this dog would be "perfect" like their childhood dogs...shall I go on?
