Second Chance
“Jaejoong, please.”
The latter got up from his seat without even looking at the pleading man.
“Please, boo.”
He walked away for 2 steps.
“I beg you, Jae!”
With that, he was gone.
Yunho sat there completely motionless. He stared at the spot where he last saw his now officially ex-boyfriend. The clock on the wall kept ticking, acting like it didn’t know anything. Yunho got up from his seat when the waiter tapped his shoulder lightly, telling him that he should leave. He pushed the door and exited the cafe.
He couldn’t think of anything. He didn’t even know how to get to his house. He just kept walking, walking, and walking. Until finally, he stood in front of a door. He knocked the door twice and a man opened the door. “It’s midnight for god’s sake, hyung!” He rubbed his eyes sleepily and looked up. Then he realized something, he opened his arms and hugged Yunho, whispering, “He broke up with you, didn’t he?” Yunho nodded faintly and that was when everything hit him. Jaejoong saying he wanted to break up. Jaejoong crying when he told him that he slept with other woman. Jaejoong slapped him. Jaejoong left him at the café. He burst into tears, crying like a baby. Changmin never seen his hyung this vulnerable. He patted his hyung’s back softly. “I can’t, Min. I can’t without him, Min.” Changmin only let out a heavy sigh.
Changmin thought as time went by, his hyung would move on. But, he was wrong. Jaejoong kept calling him to pick up his hyung who was drunk in front of his house. And last night was no different. “Hyung, you can’t keep showing up in front of his house!” Changmin couldn’t take it anymore. Yunho took a sip of his coffee, totally ignoring him. “Hyung!” Yunho looked at his brother angrily. He grabbed his collar, “I love him, Min! What am I supposed to do, huh?! I can’t without him!” Changmin pushed Yunho roughly, “Cut the crap, hyung! If you loved him that much, why did you sleep with that wom-“ Changmin couldn’t finish his word. It was hard to finish your sentence when someone punched you in the face.
Changmin immediately fell down on the floor. He felt the sharp pain in his nose and cheek. He had never felt this angry before, he got up and returned the punch. Yunho’s back hit the kitchen table when he felt Changmin’s knuckles on his cheek. “Stop showing up in front of his house drunk! Stop weeping like a baby and be a man instead!” Changmin left the house. Changmin’s last words sent Yunho back to real world. He realized he wouldn’t get Jaejoong back if he kept acting like a jerk. Yunho stormed out of the house.
Jaejoong sighed when he saw his ex-boyfriend sitting there again. But then he stopped to take a good look at his face, ‘He isn’t drunk.’ Jaejoong thought. Yunho looked up and saw Jaejoong. He quickly got up. “What are you doing here again?!” Jaejoong walked past him. Yunho grabbed his wrist, “Jae, please give me one more chance.” Jaejoong stopped and turned around. “You slept with that girl, Yun!” That was when Yunho saw the hurt Jaejoong that he tried to cover with anger. “I know what I did was wrong, Jae. I know. And I regret it.” Jaejoong didn’t say a word.
“I’m so sorry, Jae. Please give me one more chance. I’m so sorry for being such a jerk. Please, Jae. I beg y-“ Yunho noticed Jaejoong’s trembling shoulders. His heart sank at the sight of the crying Jaejoong. He quickly wrapped his arms around Jaejoong. “Sshh. Sshh. Don’t cry, baby. I’m so sorry for what I did.” Yunho patted Jaejoong’s head softly. “That hurt a lot you know.” Yunho barely heard Jaejoong’s soft whispering voice. “I know, baby. I promise I won’t do that again. I love you, Jae.” Never in his whole life he felt this helpless. And yet, Jaejoong made him cried. Jaejoong lifted his arms to wrap them around Yunho. “Don’t do that again, Yun.” Yunho pulled away and kissed his cheek, “I won’t, Jae. I love you.” He wiped his better half’s tears with his thumb and kissed his forehead.
“Only you, Jae. Forever you.”
