Mahalia's eldest sister, a dreamchaser. Mahalia looks up to her as a strong and protective figure, but also understand she has her own vulnerabilities and will need Mahalia's help at times. Mahalia would do anything for her.
❁ Xion ( mnementomori)
One of Mahalia's longest running friends in the Gardens. A girl who seems around the same age as her, but is actually much younger. She's shy and often uncertain, but Mahalia is always happy to answer her questions and give her any support she needs.
❁ Santana ( heretolookhot)
Very sharp and angry-seeming, Mahalia quite often doesn't understand her or what she means. There's a large element of culture clash, too. But Mahalia believes there's something softer underneath, has seen glimpses of it, and thinks Santana has a beautiful singing voice.
❁ Caprica ( aunomdedieu)
A very gentle and caring woman. Mahalia first met her when burying the murdered cats, and found her manner very supportive. She seems to have a lot of deeply philosophical thoughts, some of which are perhaps too much for Mahalia.
❁ Ellie ( thinkbrave)
Outwardly rather gruff and harsh, their first few interactions didn't go that smoothly. But Mahalia has spent enough time with Ellie now to understand the prickly exterior hides a multitude of softer traits. They can still clash, at times, but she enjoys Ellie's company, and would consider her a friend.

An older woman who had an incredibly hard time settling with the idea of anything magical or fantastical. Mahalia found it frustrating trying to speak to her, at first, but she seems to have mellowed a little, since. A good friend of Ellie's, Mahalia extends her any help she needs.
❁ Jessica ( notvitiligo)
Another girl that Mahalia experiences a lot of culture clash with. Jessica seems to view the world and people in a very different way to Mahalia, but is still good-hearted and friendly. Mahalia talks to her quite often, and wishes she could help her be more self-accepting.
❁ Kuja ( existwithoutme)
A strange woman who is really a being born of magic. Mahalia finds her and her manner fascinating and compelling. She's very interested in Mahalia's singing, which has given Mahalia new drive in her studies.
❁ Spain ( latomatetas)
A very warm, motherly figure, the personification of the land half of Mahalia's bloodline originated from. Mahalia saw her as a source of warmth and guidance, but worried for her people, if she was kept from them too long.
❁ Paderau ( k0kka)
Her godfather's sister. Very warm and bright, there was a safe and comforting space for Mahalia to tuck under her wing. She misses her greatly, but wants to be strong and do her proud.
❁ Birdie ( willbereborn)
A firebird that knew Jast and Paderau. She seemed very innocent and naive, and her questions often had Mahalia confused, but being able to sing together was comforting. No bird should be caged, and Mahalia is glad she found her way home.
❁ Dejana ( sageofthewest)
A wise woman who seemed very knowledgeable on many different things. Mahalia liked asking her questions and looked up to her a great deal, but worried about the sadness that sometimes seemed to settle on her. She learnt some basic healing methods from her, before she left.
❁ Utena ( ofnobility)
A girl Mahalia first spoke to when Paderau was recovering, but crossed paths with several times afterwards. She seemed very good-hearted, brave and bright. Mahalia appreciated her company a great deal, and was very sad when she left.
