Evil
I have "Evil" stuck in my head. Which reminds me...Interpol is coming again! Woo hoo! Same with Hot Hot Heat!! Double Woo Hoo! So, good shows all around. I'm missing Viva Voca this weekend since it's Erika's birthday. I want to be there for her, but I'm being a big baby about missing a show I want to see. I'm sure they'll be around again though. And speaking of music, I am still trying to decide what to buy with my $50 gift certificate to Everyday Music. I know I'm getting the new Black Keys album, but what to do with the rest?? I have some ideas and here they go: Loretta Lynn--Van Leer Rose, The Arcade Fire--Funeral, Iron & Wine--Our Endless Numbered Days, Helio Sequence--Love & Distance. I have some others, but they are forgotten on me. Geez..too much music to buy! Any suggestions, criticisms, endorsements...?
On to other news....Hmm..it'd probably be more interesting if there were other news. This weekend was a blast. I was at Megan & Jason's party for a few hours on Friday, then went to the Bear Paw to hang out with some of Nora's work friends, then we ended up at Slabtown with the "family" and then onto Rob's house for a goodbye party for Wes. It's really sad to see him go. I don't know him that well, but I was just getting to hang out with him more and now he's gone. It's just sad because he's such a cool guy. Oh well, he'll be back for a little bit in a couple of months at least. I ended up being out until after 7am on Friday night. Me, Nora, Michael and Paul ended up going to get breakfast at the Roxy (for lack of other alternatives) at 6am. It was fun, but I was exhausted. Paul is SUCH a funny guy too...oh my goodness...my stomach hurt after laughing so much (or maybe it was the chicken fried steak doused in gravy...ew, I still can't believe I ordered that). Anyway, good times. Too bad I was in a funk on Saturday night. Good weekend overall. I give it an A. Makes it that much harder to be back at work now....
