Check yr head...

I went to take the Myers Briggs test on Saturday and a class along with it. verrrry interesting stuff. I'm an ENFP--extrovert (drawing energy from people around me, although i'm close to the middle, so i can draw energy from myself), Intuitive, Feeling, and Perceiving. I learned quite a bit about myself and got some ideas going for what to do with my life. I have a couple already. Looks like I want to stay in Portland for a couple more years. I like my job and I'm doing pretty well at it so far, so I'd like to stay as long as I can. Fall of 2006 I'll either go to Seattle for culinary school or move to Europe--whichever opportunity comes up at that time. I'll take it from there. But basically my time will be up in Portland in a couple years. I'm sure I'll be back eventually (maybe for life the second time around?), but I can't settle down here for the rest of my life yet. I think that everyone should take this test though. Not just for career purposes, but just to find out more about your personality and why sometimes it doesn't work with other peoples. I'm not saying that you can't get along with someone because their personality doesn't mesh with yours, that kinda depends on how much you want to understand them and work on it. but it does help to figure out why you naturally don't get along with some people. Carl Jung (who kinda helped develop the whole thing) said that we're born with one personality and throughout life, learn the other side of it. Like how we're naturally inclined to write with one hand, but we COULD learn how to write with the other. It was interesting, but I was also tired from staying up too late talking to Erika. Then the damn Morrison bridge was up and it took me like 45 minutes to get home on Friday night. 4 1/2 hours of sleep was not enough. Especially since it was 100 degrees outside. Ick. Anyway, good weekend. no more to say.
