Welcome to the Mountain
My new favorite ride is Expedition: Everest! It is the most amazing thing ever, and quite photogenic I might add. I bought a pin for my lanyard (which I have no more room on, but I'll make it fit!). All in all, it was a good trip. We got to ride EE three times, which I wasn't even sure we'd be able to do at all. We visited all 4 parks and did all 3 nighttime shows (unfortunately it was too hazy for Wishes and it was hard to see all the effects). Dinner in France was yummy, and helped Dave and I get even closer to our goal of eating in every country at World Showcase. We got evac-ed off of Big Thunder Mountain railroad. It was the same lift hill that Sissa, Dave, and I got stuck on once before, ironically. We got to walk under the mountain and in some backstage areas to get off. Very cool! We saw Ty Pennington (of Trading Spaces and Home Makeover fame) at MGM. And the best part of the entire trip......

I got a leaf from the Tree of Life! We went with a friend of Dave's, who used to take care of some of the animals. She told us that the tree sheds leaves all the time and that you can find them around the park sometimes. We went snooping around a trail in the foliage and BAM--Dave finds a leaf for me. It is large, plastic, and an extremely fake shade of green.
P.S.: Dave doesn't like when I talk about this. We are to only address the leaf as "the item" and keep it our little secret. (Don't ask!)
