1. What did you do in 2007 that you'd never done before?
Asked for a raise. Went to Maui. Snorkeled. Saw a burlesque show. Installed things in my computer case without a boy.
2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
- I made more resolutions this year than ever before; I usually don’t bother because I suck at keeping promises to myself.
- Find a decent therapist. Well, I have one…I think she’ll do.
- Figure out how to sneak more exercise into my daily schedule. Fuck.
- More backpacking. Whoops.
- Get my ear repierced. Done yay!
- Learn how to knit continental style. I can knit Continental now. I cannot purl Continental. This is semi-useful as I hate purling anyway and like patterns where I can avoid it.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No one I know IRL.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No.
5. What countries did you visit?
Just this one.
6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you didn't have in 2007?
Direction, Sanity and Motivation.
Last year I said “A savings account with actual money in it...a therapist...a computer that will run Neverwinter Nights 2...less credit card debt.” And I have all of these.
7. What date(s) from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
All of Maui and my dad being sick.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Not killing myself, not becoming an alcoholic, somehow managing to stay employed, and paying off 1/3 of my credit card.
9. What was your biggest failure?
I don't do big failures. I do millions of tiny failures.
10. Did you suffer any illness or injury?
My traditional quantities of headaches.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
My bed is pretty awesome. Also, a lot of computer parts.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Everyone who’s had to put up with me.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
My own and my government’s.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Credit card, the car, the computer.

Maui.

I watched a few episodes of Heroes and then got bored.

No.

Hm…not any specific artists, just a couple songs I heard on the radio and really liked.
28. What did you want and get?
The ability to pay all my bills.

A purpose for my continued existence.
30. What were your favorite films of this year?
I think all I saw was Harry Potter and Transformers.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 26. I went to REI and bought bike gloves and went out for sushi with Marissa.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
If I was capable of being social and not fucking up. Or if I hadn’t been dumb and decided to quit taking meds.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2006?
“wearing things that don’t fit because I pretty much gave up on not looking like crap.”

I'm not.

I think I met everyone in 06…maybe not?

- Make life stop sucking THEN quit taking your meds, not the other way around.
- Everyone you love is going to die.
- I am completely wasting my life but have no idea how to stop.

At Richie’s house watching fireworks on TV.

This sounds so weird to me for some reason. YOUR STATUS. SHOW ME IT.
I was dating Richie at the time.
3.) Were you in school (anytime this year)?
No.
4.) How did you earn your keep?
Working for the Man in the eternally exciting field of asset management.
5.) Did you have to go to the hospital?
Not for myself.
6.) Did you have any encounters with the police?
Nope.
7.) Where did you go on vacation?
Maui!
8.) What did you purchase that was over $500?
Car insurance.
9.) Did you know anybody who got married?
Yes.
10.) Did you know anybody who passed away?
Just the CEO of the company I used to work for.
11.) Have you run into anybody you graduated high school with?
I did see suu, but not accidentally.
12.) Did you move anywhere?
Yes, we moved out of the basement.
13.) What sporting events did you go to?
I went to one of Suu's softball games.
14.) What concerts/shows did you go to?
None whatsoever.

Damn skippy.
16.) If so, did you do your patriotic duty on Nov. 7?
This is from ‘06…but I did vote this year, whatever day it was.

Seattle.

Marissa and I went out for sushi. And I bought bike gloves. I still do not own a bike.
19.) What's the one thing you thought you would never do but did in 2007?
Asked for a raise. And got it, mostly.
20.) What is one thing you regret from this year?
Every mildly annoying, obnoxious, less-than-nice or less-than-brilliant thing I’ve said or done in any social interaction.
And not taking my meds and making everyone deal with me.
21.) What do you want for Christmas?
World peace of course. Some clothes that make me look less than awful. A new brain.
Other than that…I mean I’d like a 360 and Rock Band but then I’d have to leave my room to play it, so fuck that, and it’s awfully expensive.
22.) Any new additions to your family?
A plant and a Roomba.

24.) What from pop culture will you remember 2007 by?
Lindsey Lohan passed out in her car. Mostly because my co-worker has been using it as a Messenger icon.
25.) How do you plan to ring in 2008?
With a vast quantity of alcohol. I may or may not manage to leave my room.
