The Official 2003 Recap Post, Slightly Late
- The year began with a lot of car trouble, resulting in the purchase of a Brand New Car. It still doesn't have a name beyond The Echo, but I am still madly in love with it.
- Oh, I got certified in CPR (relink from above). I don't know if that's noteworthy. I had to do it for work, but I'm glad I did, even though I haven't had to use it and had totally forgotten until just now. I wonder if I actually remember it...
- It snowed way too fucking much. I had a really rough winter, in general.
- Finished paying off the Great All-Girl Half-Lesbian Half-Vegan Road Trip of 2002. Which I haven't scanned photos from or scrapbooked yet. (Suu, do you have any pictures from it? I think I need to give you copies of mine, and sweet jesus are there a lot...) So that was the last time my credit card had a zero balance. Oops. But apparently my credit limit has tripled since February - that's really freaky. The things you learn going back through old entries. Also, some of the things that seemed necessary to make friends-only don't seem so necessary months later.
- This may be my favorite post of the year, but I'm still fond of this one as well.
- Saw the World's Largest Kaleidoscope; went to Atlantic City (for the first time since I was old enough to gamble),
- Decklin and I broke up in March after more than a year and a half together. Got back together a few times; I think I ended up getting dumped three times in all. Drama drama drama. I didn't keep up writing about it all on LJ for various reasons and I don't feel like doing so now, but at the moment we're getting along well again.
- Started taking Paxil (can't find that entry) and going to therapy. Which reminds me I need to find a new therapist since mine quit.
- Turned 22, as one does, with no posts worth linking to.
- Most of my posse graduated from college. Go them!
- Moved into this apartment leaving the old crappy one behind, which, again, I can't find the entry for, if there ever was one.
- Went to my five-year high school reunion and Jackie's wedding.
- Built Y.T. (can't find that entry either). Well, Decklin built her. Got a futon, which is a Rite of Passage, or something.
- Acquired Nori, my first nonfish pet ever. I'm sure I have several posts about her cuteness but I'll just link to her first typed words.
- Went to New Hampshire and Maine. 16 states left to visit.
I'm sure other things happened, but that's what I remembered as I went through past entries. My life changed a lot in the past year, but mostly inside my head, and I don't think I can put it all into words.
