blessing in disguise or heaven's will?

the past few days at work was like fighting a short but tough war. i may have exaggerated but there was so many things to be done. FINALLLYYYY everything came to an end today. my company's event went pretty well and some familiar faces were seen attending the event. my tutor attended despite her hectic work today and her grumpy husband who was reluctant to come along. well i thought it was worth well coming 'cos this event could serve as a privilege educational tool or channel for her kids to have a deeper understanding of the hardship of our forefathers, the struggles for the need to survive and social changes to our surroundings... etc. anyway she's just an awesome tutor.

*taking a deep breath*

i finally knew the name of Mr. Cute Smiler. He's Paul (whoooooohooooo) and the i-thought-that-was-his-friend turned out to be his BROTHER-IN-LAW, Steve. i was pretty much surprised by their presence 'cos i thought they said they would attend but they probably may not. I got to know that P is MARRRRIEDDDD :( when he appeared ABRUPTLY and UNKNOWNINGLY politely asking for red wine for both him and his BROTHERRR-in-law. my colleague was in between of us ( ARGGGGHHH.) and so all i heard was "for my brother...." then his voice faded off into the noisy crowds.

throughout the event i was so excited to start a convo with him 'cos i really didn't expect to see him around today. sigh. i think it was heaven's will, most of his time spent with S and talking to this aged caucasian neighbour tenant (whom i never knew he existed!!!) apparently he knows my tutor also! When S walked around on his own, P would be busy with the man. i never saw him alone at all. sigh. when i saw that both S & P were just browsing, i had to attend to my clients at another unit of my company. like WTH! why must we be separatedddd?! i didn't even get the chance to ask if he wanted more wine or if he would like to have some foooood (we had buffet dinner served too.) instead i got the chance to ask S. heard from S that he will be going back to England, and i should have asked naturally how long he will be leaving, if his family is here and would they be closing their unit for a while. seriously sometimes i cant stand my slow reaction to conversations like these. i could have picked up more info about P from talking to S, right?!!!

wooooow i happen to watch this part of a HK drama that shows a girl dating a divorced man whose wife still loves him, and she struggled to juggle her odd jobs so that she could afford her daughter's medical bills. i wonder if P even has kids... *LOL* honestly im happy to learn that he's married 'cos that will mean he is someone whom a lady would love to spend her life together with and that my taste is... *chuckles* GOOOOOOOD?  (blessing in disguise?)

today was the first time that i got a closeup view of him. still as charming as before, but seems slightly more haggard andddd i love his height! so tall and he's quite proportional (caucasian's avg. built). ohhh no, a man with a married status is never my cuppa tea neither is it going to ever be. i think this is a classic example of the saying "see, no touch." he didnt even say BYE to ME before he left.

anyway the event ended well but as usual the food left is always overwhelming. from the lot, i got a pack of thai pineapple rice, roasted chicken, mee siam paste fried bee hoon, watermelon and a curry puff. so five almost full packets of food.

cousin is leaving sg at about 8am and i think i should get some shuteye before i collapse. havent had much sleep though i had a good 9 hours of sleeep yesterday (fell asleep while waiting for my mask to be done.)

till then,
M.
