So. Pakistan just made a truce with the Taliban, and ceded the Swat Valley to them. From this point forward, Pakistani troops will only fire on the Taliban if fired upon first.
Neat.
This comes literally just a week or two after the Pakistani government announced they were no longer going to be keeping Abdel Qadeer Khan on house arrest: Khan being the Pakistani nuclear scientist who sold nuclear technology to North Korea, Libya, and Iran (which Libya, it should be noted, gave up voluntarily). So the two nuclear crises we have going on right now, North Korea and Iran, Khan is DIRECTLY responsible for. And Pakistan not only doesn't intend to prosecute him, they don't think he should be confined, supervised, or have his movement restricted.
Unsupervised. The most dangerous man in the world. I'm deadly serious with that label, too. Cavedwelling schmucks like Bin Laden have got nothing on the destructive capability of someone like Khan.
Meanwhile, what have we been doing for the last eight years? Comparing ideological cocks with Iran, pissing on Spain, France, and Germany, alienating all the moderate countries in the Middle East, and best of all, HOLDING HANDS WITH PAKISTAN. We've been kissing the ass of the country that poses the greatest threat to us, and pissing on everyone we should be looking to for help. And all the while, Pakistan has been working tirelessly not just to undermine us, but to create what could ultimately become a global nuclear crisis, if North Korea tests their new long-range missile and Iran ratchets their blustering rhetoric to the point where the paranoid retard psychos in Israel decide to actually nuke them first.
Well played, U.S. foreign policy. Well fucking played.
