Stray cat

I just saw a stray cat in the main Drew parking lot. It made me so sad...the cat didn't even get scared off when I pulled into a parking spot near it. It didn't move an inch; it just stared at the me. It seemed to me that this was a cat that was used to being out on the streets. I see it as a matter of innocence. The less innocent someone is when they die, the more it bothers me.

Oh, I'm very much planning to get a dog (soon). Any name ideas? I'm probably going for an Australian Cattle Dog (blue heeler) mix.

Hrm. I think it should totally be a math/physics name. Like... Tesla (especially good if the dog happens to be neurotic). Maybe alpha, or quark. Farad? Gauss?

Im the same way with animals vs people in movies/tv... I'm more likely to cry over a pet than over a person. Guess we both should work on that huh?

Next time you're watching Return of the Jedi, count how long the camera stays on the exploding Death Star, killing millions of soldiers and Imperial construction workers, welders, and space plumbers. Then time how long it stays on a dying Ewok and his friend. Sooooo much longer.
