I have discovered the joys of Open Office....an open source collection of programs much like Microsoft Office. I got it because I'm too lazy to purchase powerpoint. I'm pretty sold on the programs, though I've only tried two of them so far ( Read more... )

Open Office is great, I've been using it for years. The only problem I have with it is that MS likes to add silly features that people obsessed with MS Office will use and Open Office doesn't support. But for reasonably basic stuff it works like a charm.

And now that you've dipped into the open source world, I have to recommend The Gimp. It's an open source image editor that works great for my image needs, I like it better than PhotoShop because my needs are fairly simple and even Gimp does a lot more than I need it to do.

Software wants to be free %)

Hello! I wandered over to your page via bookandcanal.

Yeah, it's a covenant group that four of us who know each other in real life have. We meet weekly in real time (because we live far apart from each other) to hold each other accountable to a covenant we have made with each other.
