Gushy Update! (Be forewarned...)
Ben got back from Brazil yesterday! It's so good to have him around again. :-) I really missed him a lot...
After all the harrowing travel experience, the 2nd group of students (of which he was a part), got in to Drew around 8. I thought I would be nice and cook dinner, so I tried out my crock pot and a new recipe - beef stew - which turned out rather well. But before he came back to my place to eat, he took his keys (which I was keeping for him) and said he'd run his stuff back to his apartment. He said he's be gone 20 minutes because he might get way-laid by people. So he came back, we ate, and I went back to his place to help him unpack and to talk and whatnot. I walked into his room: and there was a basket of stuff for me, a flower, and chocolates. :-) In the basket (which came from Brazil) was a carved wooden figure of a jaguar, a wooden recorder (both from Brazil), and candy hearts (obviously not from Brazil). I was very surprised and very touched...I wasn't expecting it at all. Ben's so wonderfully good to me...and I'm so lucky to be dating him!
So life seems a bit more normal now with him back. I feel so pathetic...he was only gone 10 days, haha.
