GOOD. No evil fake links. Here is my favorite part:
The speedy agent pulled back his fist and dealt a strong blow to Dean’s midsection, and the wounded captive fell to his knees before he could react, his mouth opening and closing as he tried to breathe. His eyes were wide as he fought to exhale. An agonizing wheeze was the only thing passing between his blue-tinged lips. His face was turning grey, and his bruised diaphragm was paralyzed with the agony stemming from the hard hit.
“Call the doctor,” White grimaced as Dean groped along the floor in search of air, pulling at his chest and throat, while White used his handkerchief to clean his hands.
I read it twice. And again. Just then. Oh, loo -- yeah. I so need more of this, girl. I'm addicted. ADDICTED.
Oooh I liked this, and I liked that some of this was more from Alec's POV.
So far in less than two days he had been told that yet another twin was walking around with his face, another had been killed because he was evil, ghosts were real, so were demons, and oh yeah, White’s sticking his foot in again. Fun times. HEH!!
Great dialogue with: “Oh I don’t know, maybe they just like me.”
“I find it hard to believe that anyone likes you.”
“Right back at you.”
Nice touch with Alec driving the car too.
And Dean/his Dad/Sam being missing for over 20 years - I guess they officially are, since Mary died? I've never really thought about that. Although Dean/Sam did attend school. But yes. Interesting.
yeah, well in Home when the guys go to see the guy at the garage where John worked they're police officers investigating the winchester disappearance, and the mechanic seems completely unperturbed by this, and then in his journal the people he's staying with are telling him to get his act together then he runs off with two kids so they were bound to get the authorities involved
"I already had one of those." LOL I love evil twins - even just talking about them. Hee!
I just adore this. Truly it is so much fun. Alec and Dean in the same piece - my cup continues to runneth over. Thanks so much and looking forward to more.
*sputters* STILL reading? Like you thought I wouldn't be? Good gawd, woman. Of COURSE I'm still reading. I'm jonesing for this. Need my angst & torture fix. And maybe Alec without his shirt, hmm? *muttering* Still reading. :D
This was definitely my favorite chapter so far, which is probably because Alec is becoming so much more of an important character. I like that he's stepping in, getting involved, almost taking responsibility, really, for Dean's kidnapping. I absolutely loved the part when he found the Impala. You should have seen the big grin on my face when I read that the first time--and yeah, even rereading it now. I don't know why I like it, but it's just a great part. :D
So, yes, I love this story. I really do. It's got the best of all the worlds. Alec, action, Dean, Sam, angst, more angst, and all the characters and events just work so damn well. I think I'm starting to fangirl this story more than I should. *facepalm* Bad Pix.
I was a little worried I was doing DA too much, I think if I'd put all of the Dean parts together it'd be...well, not a lot, but hey if you're liking it then that's good :D
