long weekend, thanksgiving, and christmas stuff
Okay well this is my last long weekend working for a while!!! Friday night went as well as could be expected. My boss, in all of her wisdom, decided that we were going to take our kids to see harry Potter on opening night. She told the parents we were going to leave at 6 and find, originaly, 17 seats together. :( Well thanks to Chris, Frank and Willy they were able to save me a row of seats, and the always wonderful Jeff saved me a space behind old navy to park the bus so I wouldn't have to go looking for a space. Before you make comments, yes I do have a license to be operating a bus, and no i don't think the government made a mistake Chris (brat). So a number of our kids did not make it on time, so after parking the van, i had to fun job of running, well walking briskly around the theater handing out tickets to the kids that showed up late, give pickup instructions to the parents, and bring them over to our "safe place" should any of them get lost. So we eventually get to the concession counter, and I could not have been happier. God I can't rememember this guys name, I think Nick, looks like Scott, but he was absolutly amazing. He was so great with the kids, he took the time to listen to them, even though most of them had some difficulty speaking to him. He was amazing! I did feel bad about seeing a lot of the people that I use to work with, if I didn't say hi to you, i meant to, it was just so busy. I really couldn't tell you what was the movie was like, didn't get to see most of it. There was a preview that was for I think King Kong or something that scared the kids to death, One sprinted out of the theater, she almost made it to the mall, but all was well in the end. I am suppose to write a thank you letter to loews, and to Fandango sometime this weekend, but I don't think I'll have the time, but i sould be able to finish them by the end of the week (sorry kristy). the kids already made Loews a card.
Okay as you know I am working on Thanksgiving so I am not headed home. I decided that i am going to visit a nursing home in the morning before I go to work, I hate for people to be alone durning the holidays. If anyone wants to join me, let me know. I am going early as i have to be at work in newburyport at 1.
Address, Address, Address, you all need to email, post or call me with your address. I have written the christmas cards, but they need to be mailed. yes i know I could email cards, but mailing the cards is tradition! I am completly seious, i will stalk you to get it, i will call email, call parents, show up at work... well probably not but i'll be really mad! Well mad for me. Okay as for my usual holiday party, I will sadly not be holding one this year, i have too many finals, and papers, ect. I may or may not have new years but I'll let you know asap. As for attending other peoples parties. I will be at Jeff's, and Laura's party. I am suppose to go to a few more parties, but I did not write them down, if I am suppose to be there, let me know, i know I'm a numpty!
