Louis' surprise party was a success. I still can't believe he didn't know, but that face doesn't lie. Terry came through for me and took him to the OSU game, so that he was out of the house for a few hours. Thank God for Judy and Kathy who helped me get everything together! Otherwise, I would have never made it. We still have tons of beer and junk food left over. Guess we'll have to have another party to get rid of it all.

This weekend we went to Alabama. It was nice to see Bess, John and the kids this weekend. Rachel wasn't as shy as when I saw her last year which was nice...she's still a bit of a momma's girl, but what can you expect from a 3 year old who gets carted all over the place meeting new people all the time and who is spoiled rotten by her grandparents. Isaac's grown a lot and is quite hyper. He's a sweet kid for the most part, but doesn't seem understand "no" or "you're hurting me", though, which is a little disturbing.

My Mom and Dad are doing well as are my grandparents and my great-aunt. It's always nice to have time to spend with them. My grandad loves showing Louis' stuff on the farm and sharing his gadgets and my great aunt is quite he story teller. My grandmother's arthritis seems to have gotten worse, but that didn't stop her from making duck gumbo for us on Saturday and baking two pies and a cake!

I got back late last night and Louis went to KS for an interview. Not sure about moving, but change is good. Maybe we'll finally get pregnant.

that's all for now...
