Robins Robins Everywhere

It was unsightly hot outside with little to no breeze, but I made the walk up to Wal-mart and picked up a copy of DC's latest addition to their animated universe (though I don't really know if the recent years of films are considered part of the DCAU). Now, I have not read the comics this film was based around, "A Death in the Family" and "Under ( Read more... )

it's all about Dick Grayson and Jason Todd. Sorry, Tim fans

Oh man oh man oh man I can't wait to see this. I've got to buy it and make my RPG group watch it, which will be interesting as we have one rather anti-DC person in the group, but OMG.

It all sounds so good!
And may get me writing Jason again.

You know, I never really gave much thought to Jason because he just kind of appears and disappears over the years and his character changes into so many different things (troubled hero? villain?), but this film managed to really kind of take all of that and put it into one understandable and tragic character. And it was WONDERFUL.

Ooh yay! I skipped the spoilers, but I am vaguely interested. Jason Todd is the least interesting character for me in the Batverse, but I'm a sucker for good Batman cartoons. :D

Thanks for your review!

Oh, I know. Like I said to ani_bester, I never really gave him much thought because his character is always changing and it seems the writers just don't really know what to do with him. But in this film, the idea of the troubled anti-hero and the villain seemed to be all combined into one package which made for an interesting and tragic character.

Plus, the circumstances of his return from the grave made a whole lot more sense in the film.
