Check out my mad skills

Okay, so I could sit here and explain why I once again spammed my friends list, but as I've said time and time again, I'm working at getting all my writing archived and linked in my LJ. So if you see writing, it means I'm posting a story.

I wanted to actually write something new today, but I didn't. I did, however, get back into things at _belong and ( Read more... )

Aww, that's sweet, Melis. Thanks. I like the idea for your fic, so I'm going to read it after this. :)

Heh, thanks. I'm always looking for feedback and can never find any. And you are quite welcome for the audio!

I’ve friended you, and I’m happy if you want to friend me back (even though I won’t appear often on your f-list, as I seldom write new short stories, and I make only my-fic-related entries). And I decided to reply to this comment of yours here, so as to save Shaggy from our further mutual self-plugging.

I read Man’s Best Friend immediately and I can say I agree that it’s good at being what it’s supposed to be. I’ll try to post a bit more detailed feedback on ff.net

And no, you don’t sound too pathetic at all - at least not more pathetic than I sound when desperately seeking people with whom to discuss my fiction - and theirs. This could be another topic for discussion: how pathetic are we - and how pathetic is Remus - allowed to be?

It is pathetic that I have to fix html errors and spelling mistakes, so I fill your email with double notifications of my comments. I'm sorry!

Yes, poor Shaggy was probably regretting having hit so hot a topic in her LJ. What were the comments at last time I checked? Over 75 and counting?

In a lot of my archived fiction I have often treated Remus pathetically, but I believe it's just a reflection of how my life was then. He's a character I feel I can often relate to in many ways, and a lot of my story ideas came during classes when I was incredibly tired and/or incredibly stressed. This probably explains the dark and depressed nature Remus seems to inhabit. For example, Yultide Yearning was written while listening to presentations on dark and depressing war poetry. Fortunately, I've learned to stop focusing on it and, after taking on Remus as a character for a prompt challenge, I hope to not only write more stories, but to give him a bit of happiness.

And certainly I will friend you back right after I finish with this comment. And the way I see it, Remus is allowed to be as pathetic as the authors channeling him. :)
