My Yulegoat Letter
Dear Yule Goat,
Thank you so much for writing fic for me! I am so grateful you've decided to take on this challenge, and excited to discover whatever you create.
I am going to get into the details in a minute, but before I do, I just want to say: Have fun with this! Whatever bunnies or other ideas I suggest, it's not important that you make yourself write what you think I want if it doesn't inspire you. I absolutely revel in good porn, but I am a story girl at heart; whatever story you are inspired to tell will be welcome.
As you read these thoughts, feel free to pick one rather than trying to integrate them all. Even though I have chosen specific characters, do feel free to add other characters from the same fandom if you like. I love so many of them, and seeing them show up in my fic will be like getting to see old friends.
Blood Ties
I love Henry, but he isn't the reason I request this fandom. The women on this show kick ass, and I want to see them interacting with each other and the things that go bump in the night. I love Vicki and Coreen fic, especially gen where Coreen is gleeful and full of plans, and Vicki is wary and snarky. Bonus points if Coreen orders artifacts on ebay that prove useful and/or dangerous.
I am also jonesing for fic featuring ME Dr. Mohadevan. I have this weird thought of demon!Norman finding his way to her somehow, and being pwned and confused by the good Doc (I can see her remaining her normal, musing and curious self while doing this. She's so mysterious and fun!) You're welcome to have other characters chip in, but please don't make her a damsel. I want her to get herself out of trouble, with or without help from the others.
The Unit
I am a Max Martini fangirl, so gimme freckles! In my personal headcanon, Tiffy takes off in search of herself or whatever, and Mack gets psychotherapy from a former Unit man to help him learn anger management and healthy parenting. I'd love to see a story during or after that therapy - I want Mack to have grown into the amazing Dad he showed potential to be on the series. If you like, you can pair him with Bob Brown - I enjoy Mack/Bob slash very much. I'd love to see domestic moments with both of their kids, or even just Mack and his girls making their way through the teenage years together. Jen and Lissy would of course wrap Mack around their fingers, at least temporarily; show their hijinks and his efforts to stay one step ahead of them without actually hindering their growing up.
Grimm (2011 TV)
Marie is my favorite character, so I'd love to see fic that features her as the badass hero she is. What was Marie's time at library school like? Her 40s? Did she ever have a friend among the "creatures," the way Nick has found a friend in Eddie Monroe? I'd love to see her shielding young Nick from the reapers and the rest while struggling to keep him blissfully unaware of the whole dangerous world.
Barring that, I'd love to see fic from Eddie Monroe's POV. What was his childhood like? How did he come to give up violence? Even a missing scene with Eddie would fill my heart with glee.
Revenge
I have been falling in love with Nolan Ross since the second episode of Revenge. When he purred about being a 3 on the Kinsey scale? I was totally cooked. I love his geekiness and his gleeful enjoyment of manipulation and gamesmanship - especially when it comes to Tyler. I have an unholy desire to see them play a game of sex chicken - and since we know that m/m sex is already in their repertoire, let them take it farther. Sharing a woman or a man? Public sex? Bondage? Breathplay? Let them push each other's boundaries while they push each other's buttons. This should be both consentual and manipulative, and ideally they are both Up to Something at all times. It's not hatesex but it's certainly not love. These boys are playing games and loving it.
Alternately, explore the relationship between Amanda/Emily and Stripper!Emily, showing how the former uses affection and/or sex to manipulate the latter. Gen or femmeslash are both okay, but show me how they got into the twisted relationship they're in - You and I both know it took more than a hug to turn a ruthless enemy into a "sister" - so feel free to start in juvie and take them as far into the present/future as you like. Does Amanda/Emily always have the upper hand? Has she exacted vengence on stripper!Emily's behalf, perhaps as practice before tackling her father's enemies?
