So... not much to say about DK on Jimmy Kimmel, except these two things:
Now I remember why I hate most TV
and
I really hope that I'm just a naive midwesterner who has no idea how sly and cool all the things he said were. Because to me, he seemed affected, a little mean, and loose lipped. (Poking fun at fangirly math teachers on national tv doesn't strike me as smart.) I didn't see the first Jimmy Kimmel appearance, but his print interviews are usually thoughtful and earnest, at least. I don't think I will watch the nighttime shows to catch him anymore. I enjoy watching him act, so I want him to be respected and get lots of work. I want to blame the stuff I don't like on the show (please.)
I watched "Scorched" tonight, just because I stumbled across it. Dumb, but cute. DK has a Las Vegas scene in that movie, which reminded me of
What Happens in Vegas by
dsudis which is silly in spots, but never dumb, and very hot. Much better than "Scorched."
I've been under a rock-- did Alicia Silverstone have massive cosmetic surgery or something? Because I barely recognized her. Weird.
