so the job is kind of boring
so i got this job working at the UPMC cancer pavilion in shadyside through the division of surgical oncology. the job itself really isnt too bad, its all really easy stuff like filing and the like, but right ow its a little boring. the work we have in a day is a good amount for like 2 people to keep pretty busy all day. the problem is this week we've had 4 or 5 of us in pretty much all day. its kind of rought for the moment, but i know things will pic up for everyone since two of the girls won't really be there after the month. so the downside is that its boring right now and the pay is bare bones, but the upside is that hours are extremely flexible and the people there are pretty cool so even during the down time we can pass the time without completely making us all go crazy.
on the real job search, things have started to turn up through this one recruiter guy who works for panthertracs. he is going to send my resume to 3 different companies, that all do something a bit different actually. one is involved with water/wastewater junk, which kind of turns me off, but i figured it can't hurt to at least let them know i'm here. the other is construction, and are looking for field engineers, which i dont really know what exactly that entails, but i like doing field stuff, so that could turn out alright. the third one looks really cool, because they do a good bit of in house soils testing and such which i think i'd love to get into at the moment. so between those 3, and one other testing laboratory that i started to look into, i think things are looking pretty good. i am really glad that this guy has been so helpful with this because i really had no idea these companies were even out there for me to look at in the first place.
