ok so i finally heard back from the seller at 7:45pm tonight! his counter offer is so crazy i don't know whether to laugh or be really upset. they were originally asking $220K for a place that is so full of stuff and dirt that you can't even tell what colour the carpet is! i offered $192K with a closing date of October 31. This is their counter offer: $209K, closing date of August 31 and he wants to stay on as my tenant for until the end of October for $10 a month!!!!!!
crazy! i'm almost insulted that they even suggested it. i guess they had to try, but still... wow...
i haven't decided what i want to do. i definitely do not want that guy as my tenant! i can imagine the legal head ache that would ensue at the end of October when i tried to get rid of him. i might counter with $203K final offer! and i think that i'm going wait until 7pm tomorrow to give it to them too.
