Back on the Horse
Whew! I was afraid I'd forgotten how to write.
When I started the new job back in July, it commandeered all my brain cells and left nothing for writing. I'd stare at the screen, open unfinished stories and try to add a scene, and feel like my imagination had gone blind and I'd forgotten how to string words together.
I wrote 800 words on a new story today, WITHOUT feeling like I'd pried each word out of concrete. The characters actually feel like they have some life in them.
