I don't know how you do this. I love how you write everything so quiet and subtle. I love Cuddy's surprise at the beginning and the interesting AU of saving House's leg without the debridement. And I love how House kept asking her out relentlessly, even up until she had to turn him down and that was the most beautiful and saddest part of it all. God, I love all the sacrifice that's wrapped up in this. And I can't wait to see what else you'll write in the future. I'm addicted.

Thank you, thank you. I tried to keep it IC but attempt to balance it with my original intention of the whole AU digression. Also your remark about sacrifice, I think that's appropriate--even though his thigh stayed intact, no less was really lost. At least that's what I was going for, how things can be different and still be the same.

First of all, thank you for being rambly. This is only my second AU so I have no idea how I'm doing otherwise.

I have a post ep idea in the works, maybe. Depending how the finale goes. And the dialogue was intended to be a sort of payoff, so I'm glad you got that.
