Skinny Puppy Concert
Alright so now I will tell the tale of the Skinny Puppy concert with Ryan... and here we goooooo......
I got off work around 2:00 leaving early. Ryan was waiting for me in the lobby, in my bag I had a change of clothes and a tupperware full of pizza, so we could eat it later. Ryan and I walked to the greyhound bus stop where we met Chris. I had to charge my ipod and Ryan had to pee. We waited at the bus stop for not too long as the bus left at 2:30. We got on the bus and not much happened. I listened to my ipod, Ryan and I had a mini fight, argued about music with Chris and how the new AFI album is shit. We didn't get there until about 4:30 - 4:45 which really wasn't that bad. We ended up at the station at about 5 and it was time to walk to Kool Haus. It took us about half an hour to walk there and it wasn't so bad but I had to pee very bad. It was kind of windy too. We got in line right when we got there. Ryan and I decided to go to the grocery store near by, I got changed in the bathroom and we both peed. I didn't go in the bus station because it smelled. We got some soda and this really good sticky bun pastry thing with strawberries. It was good, Ryan and I split it and once we got back in line Chris Ryan and I ate weird warped pizza that melted together :( Boourns on my part. So we waited until about 8:10 when the doors opened. They were supposed to open at 8 but whatever. Ryan kept pointing out how he found a lot of girls ugly :) which is okay by me. Some crazy bums came up to us especially this one with REALLY bad teeth. We also saw this guy park a really nice car and he looked almost exactly like....
YES THATS RIGHT PJ PHIL FROM YTV's THE ZONE!!!! Anyway that was exciting. So we walked in and security made me pour out all of my water (3) bottles and then my refillable one well Ryan dumped out the refillable one. They made him throw out his nutrigrain bar and his cold medicine which is kind of ridiculous. Anyway so we get passed security, put everything in coat check and Ryan saw OhGr walking batbat his dog but didn't go up to him which I didn't realize until after. We went to the merch table which was kind of packed but Ryan wanted to get stuff before it was gone because there was something that was limited edition. So Ryan and I bought the same shirt (beige tour shirt) and Ryan also bought a hat, sticker, cd, and I forget what else IF anything else, anyway the whole thing, including my shirt came to $133. We went into the main room where the concert would be held and we put on our shirts I held onto Ryan's hat, cd and sticker. So we got in and then a bit of news happened but its confidential. All I can say is Ryan thank you so so so so so so so much for being a real sweetheart in acting the way you did to make me feel better. We got second to the rail which was pretty good and first Otto Von Shirak came out and was pretty good. He had a light up sword and a cape why isn't he my lover? Anyway after that came White Mice. A trio of people who had mouse masks on each one of them and the were ahem TERRIBLE to say the least :). I didn't like them and really I don't think anybody did. Anyway so wait wait wait then comes skinny puppy. Ryan got really excited and there was no mosh pit. We lost Chris but found him later making out with some girl "that never happens" was his excuse. She was kind of scary looking. Anyway so Ryan was holding onto me so we wouldn't lose each other and now his favourite part.. This mexican guy who was about my height no wait like 4"11 or 5"0 was 1) hanging onto his girlfriend and wouldn't let go of her. 2) Pushing everybody so much that he took his leg, hooked it around my ankle and tried to trip me. Not to mention he tried to do this to a bunch of other people and he was just dumb and he eventually got beside me and started elbowing me in the ribs and a crowd surfer came and crushed my neck. Ryan and I got out of there. So we went to go buy water (remember we had to throw all of ours out) and it cost $5 yeah, five bucks for a bottle of water. So we went close but not in the mosh pit for the rest of the song. It was nice Then the concert got out and we were looking for Chris and figured we'd just find him outside. I made Ryan stand by the bus with me and we were offered to go past the metal rail (oooo) and met cEvin and Justin from the band. Ryan was giddy like a schoolgirl. We didn't meet OhGr and that made Ryan sad but he didn't go up to him so yeah. Anyway so we found Chris and sat on a parking lot cement thing and some homeless man came up to us and said I was a "good girl" and he called me fluffy, called Chris something else and then Ryan just 'man.' We took a cab to the bus stop but missed the bus which was at 1 NOT 1:30 like I thought. We walked around (dead tired) looking for a subway but they were empty and we eventually found a cop (no he found us) and told us to go to a diner that was open all night called Fran's. He was really nice. So we stayed in there for a bit since we were cold and hungry. I had strawberry pancakes. Ryan had banana pancakes and Chris had a burger with chips and salsa because he's mexican. Anyway some drunk Aboriginal man was in there and he was asking us where he could "find booze" and was talking to us and we were creeped out. Anyway we eventually walked back to the bus stop, waited for 5:30 for the doors to open and sat in there. Ryan met some people from the Skinny Puppy forum thing and talked to them for a bit. I then made him get me chocolate milk and we went for a quick walk to Starbucks. We got on the bus around 6:30 and made it to london around 11:30 because it made a bunch of other stops and Ryan was awake (all of us not sleeping all night) and he thought it wasn't even going to London. We then waited for Chris's mom to pick him up, Ryan and I went to the bus stop and went to my house and slept and ate and felt poopy. It was a nice trip. I liked it and hope to do it again sometime just next time I won't bring tupperware and I'll bring a lighter smaller bag.
