No really I am, I haven't disappeared. It's been finals time, and though they don't officially start until next Monday, I've been blessed with teachers who want to drag it out for 3 weeks. Yay. So I've literally been doing homework for about 10-12 hours a day for the past two weeks. Luckily I only have two things left to do next week, and then I'm off for a few weeks!
Yesterday I celebrated my temporary schoolwork break by doing lots and lots of art. I worked on Speak No Evil, which is the sneak peek I have below. Also, last week I began a sketch (yep, with pencil and paper and everything) to possibly color and enter in the county fair. The problem is that I would have to have it done by the end of next week, and with finals and visiting my & Tim's folks, I'm really thinking I'm not going to have time. But I'm going to do the piece anyway, and I'm really happy with the way it's turning out. I have to disagree with anyone who says that digital painting does not help with traditional art... let me tell you, I could not sketch like this even four months ago. I plan to start doing more traditional art, since I've been dying to get some acrylics and teach myself how to paint with them. I'll scan my two sketches in this weekend since my dad has a scanner.
Other than that, not much new... Tim and I saw The Reaping last weekend, and totally loved it. I'm mystified why it's gotten such horrible reviews, yet 300 made everyone swoon. Crazy people.
