Wish I was a cat and could just sleep all day...
I know it's nothing compared to the Midwest, but today is a verrry cold day in Oregon! I think it's time to turn on the heat. This, combined with the fact that there were painters stomping up and down the stairs all morning so I got no sleep, has made me feel very lazy today! I managed to accomplish a lot of wedding stuff, which has lessened my wedding stress level significantly (no easy feat!).
However, I am way stressing over art stuff. Why? I really don't know. I think part of it is the fact I want to accomplish so much in such a short amount of time. Also, I was thinking about applying to sell my art at a fairy festival in Oregon this summer, so I want to have lots of new pieces and merchandise... plus I've never done a show so I have no idea what to expect. Tim is SO awesome, he offered to take the Friday off work for the show and help me the entire weekend (not to mention drive us all the way out there), and is being more supportive than I could have asked for. He really is such a treasure! And a slavemaster. He called me this afternoon, and after asking what I was doing the rest of the day, informed me that I needed to work on my paintings, and if not that, the website. Lol!
So, I think (in keeping with my laziness) I'm going to work on painting the oodles of ivy leaves in one painting... slow work, and easily accomplished while watching Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings. Oh, we saw National Treasure 2 last night-- it was SO good!!! I didn't know what to expect, but it is definitely one of my favorite sequals of all time. Hilarious dialogue!
