I have a bone to pick with Daylight Saving's Time this year... why does it have to go into effect the morning I have my midterm? Ugh I can't wait til noon tomorrow, when midterms will be done.
My stupid laptop is, I think, on it's last legs. This thing has had problems since a few months after I bought it last year... HP Pavilions are supposed to be great laptops. Yet a few months after I got it, the top started cracking. Then the hinges started cracking. When I called HP to get it fixed, they told me it wasn't covered under the warrenty, and it would cost me $800 to fix. I got it fixed at this awesome place near me for $200. Last month the touchpad mouse-thing got stuck, and when I called HP, they told me they could help me over the phone, but only if I paid for a full new warrenty. Needless to say, I told them where to shove it (quite literally). NOW the place where you plug the charger in isn't working right-- it only charges from certain angles, and not for long. GRRRRRRRR! I looked at laptops at Fry's today-- I think I'll get a Toshiba if the laptop place can't fix it or it will cost a lot. But I hate to transfer everything over... it will take forever. *sigh* oh well...
That's about it. I got a ton of painting done today on The Mermaid Queen... the hardest part-- her face. I'm incredibly happy with how realistic it is looking for the first time. I started the hair, but it's late and the midterm is early. If I can get the painting in good shape by the end of next week, I will be a happy, happy woman. While it will be tough to get it & the fallen angel painting done by March 31, I think I wouldn't have been able to satisfactorily paint either one before this, skillwise. I think Savannah is all better, which is a relief, not to mention a lot quieter! Well I'm off to read HP and try and wind my mind down before bed...
