So I guess things are going well. I've now entered the three weeks of projects/midterms galore, so while I love my classes, I'm not very excited. I have three paintings on my plate right now, one that is almost done, and two that need to be done by March 30 at the latest. I'm really looking forward to the last week of March-- school is on spring break, so I'm flying home for a week. I get to see my family, and hopefully Tim's family, and do a bunch of fun wedding stuff. Wish it was now!
On a bad note, Tim's law school is, to use the cliche, going to hell in a handbasket this semester. They switched teachers & classes on them right before midterms, are running them into the ground with added reading, and, to top it, just announced they're immediately changing the grading scale. Now a 2.49 is failing. At a normal school, 2.49 sucks. But let me put it this way-- the average/mean of Tim's class was around a 2.3; that's how hard they grade. Luckily my smart guy was higher than the new failing cut off, but still... they make you retake the classes, and will start kicking ppl out. Tim's desperate to transfer next fall. The problem: most schools don't accept transfer applications until July 1. You then find out at the end of July. Class starts halfway thru August. See the problem? His best chance/ our favorite law school is in Sacramento, all the way across the state. We would have 2 weeks to move our entire apartment and life up there, including finding an apartment. Most of the law schools are really picky about transfers-- they want students in the 10-15%. Luckily McGeorge wants only top 3rd, which Tim is in. The other likely place we'd move is San Diego... where traffic is horrible and living possibly more expensive. Plus that'd be a real pain for me if I have classes that meet a lot. Ugh. This really is a lose-lose situtation.
That's about it... Tim and I started watching Boston Legal cuz his co-workers compared their firm to it. We were disgusted & entertained at the same time during the first few episodes, but now we can't get enough... we've gone through 3 discs already. Thank goodness his parents got us Netflix! The show has the funniest one-liners I've ever heard, I wish I could remember them all. Well, I'm off to do homework and paint!
