Oh dear! I'm so sorry to hear that happened to you. I've only just started to play with my PhotoShop and I just got a copy of Adobe. I know I haven't begun to scratch the surface with all the stuff it can do.Most of my work is the old fashion way. I'm self-taught and do it because it's fun. Of course, I would be without words if I could ever sell a piece.
I've only once had something like what you described happen. Where do you save your work? My hubby created a seperate folder for my art work. It stands alone. I was saving directly to a folder that PhotoShop created and he said, when there's a burp in the program. It can mess up all your saved files. The seperate folder attempts to not have that happen. So far, I haven't had any problems. :)
Yes, you have an awesome boyfriend. I'd love to hear more about that book. It sounds interesting. Hope you have a wonderful day.
Oh exciting... Photoshop is so fun, every time I feel like I know it well, I discover another function that I don't know how to use... makes things interesting! You husband's idea is a really good one... I am going to HAVE to implement it! Thanks for passing that wisdom on.
Well I admire traditional artists quite a bit... you don't have a handy undo button! Someday I'll be brave and sharpen my Prismacolors and have a go... I just bought a Drawing & Painting book by Lee Hammond, and it is so awesome... using the facial proportions & his commentary, I produced the best face sketch I've ever done... and it has animals & using colored pencils as well. I want to spend all my time immersed in these new books... what a difference they make! I'll update you when I read more of them, I've been so caught up in calling relatives/friends about the engagement that I've accomplished little else this weekend.
Well I hope you had a good weekend, and are keeping warm!!!
