Tears
Well, I did it, I got my Harry Potter book last night at midnight. I read about 250 pages before going to bed, then finished it today.
I will say nothing about it, save that JK Rowling is a writer beyond words, and she surpassed even my highest hopes for the book. I bow down to her! I'm still trying to wrap my mind around the magnitude of the book, the themes and thoughts contained within are so deep and real. I won't lie, not that it takes much, but I shed more than a few tears over the book and the fact it was the end of an era. Tim and I are going to go see HP 5 tonight (I'm hoping I like it better this time), but I think I will start re-reading the Deathly Hallows tonight before I go to bed.
As for other news, April Showers is almost finished! There are things I wished I'd done differently, but on the whole I'm pleased with how it's turning out, and I've learned loads for my next paintings. I think I may actually get another one finished before we move, since we've gotten a lot of packing done. Just as long as I don't redo the next one five times! I'm off to work on April Showers til we leave for the movie....
