the rapidly approaching summer season is going to be one of enlightenment for me, i've decided. this semester has opened my eyes up to the wonderfulness of education like never before. i find myself truly fascinated in the classes i have right now, especially biopsychology. i'm so glad, college has seriously already changed me for the better. its funny, ive been educated since probably age 5 and this is the first time ever that i feel like i just KNOW more and it feels so good. probably because i can now choose to learn about subjects i'm actually passionate about.
this summer i'm going to keep busy and put my time to good use. i'm going to take a course (or two) in either anthropology, sociology or psychology for credits for my major. adelphi or hofstra are looking like good options, i've heard mixed things about NCC.
i have decided to begin playing cello again. in the past year or two ago i had always kind of wanted to take it up again but just didn't make an effort to make the time. i'm picking my new cello up tomorrow. when i get back to boston i'm going to start lessons and then continue when i'm back for the summer as well. my goal, which may or may not happen, is to join the colleges of the fenway orchestra when i'm back in boston for the fall. this is something i'd like to accomplish, but more importantly the personal enjoyment of playing music is the main thing i'd like to gain back. only time will tell.
