But how do you know?

Technically you do not speak any of the African languages [because they are many might I add] so I could be right. You'll never know for sure.

*some sort of evil laugh*

I know thats not African for ANYTHING and if you ask anybody else they will tell you the same. I know b/c that's NOT how you say, write or pronounce them and I DO know a little bit of AFRICANZ myself, thank you very much. thats how I know. NO language whatsoever from Africa is just u punching in letters on the keyboard. just b/c u think its funny or kool doesnt mean you should degrade or make fun of any nation or race. whether you meant to or not ...you just did.

yea... i've got to admit, i don't see any reason to get so huffed up over a little joke. it's called a sense of humor.

that "little joke" is the reason some people are harmed today. no u may not see it or hear it often but it does cause harm whether u realize it or not.I have experienced some comment like that causing more harm than it should. and it does. maybe u have experienced it or maybe u have not. in many other situations i have experienced 1st hand comments similar to this has done nothing but cause harm and hurt but people who use jokes such as that, regardless if it was harmless or not continue to put a divide between whatever rifts we now have between races now. and its also a form of RESPECT to treat the AFRICAN language as it should. not to be made fun of or treated differently. i have a lot of pride in my language, my race and ethnicity. typing in words randomly on a computer is NOT our language and shouldnt be treated as a second rate language or be made fun of b/c it seems different and b/c u dont understand it.and as upset as i was to see that comment made its even more important to let others know what is appropriate and what is not ( ... )

So you know what bothers me...
How a harmless joke such as this [that you would understand why it's in "african" if only you knew the person it was intended for & not to make fun of a language] could offend some stranger so much that they go on ranting & raving about it, & yet cussing a billion times every other sentence bothers no one. at least not enough to go on ranting & raving about it, all the while knowing it would not make the slightest difference in the life of those you are yelling at & would only be a waste of your time.
Put that in your lunchbox.

listen i said nothing about cussing a billion times and if someone did cuss a billion times in front of me i would say something about it 2.i dont know where u got the cussing issue from.thats my stance on that.

im making this known b/c its for her sake. no it may not seem harmless b/c its a little joke and no i dont believe she intended to harm anyone. it's offensive b/c she is using a language/race to make a joke. doesnt matter if u keep it to ur freind or not, ur using it to make a joke. and that shows no respect.put it anyway u want to. and im not yelling at all. and if it really didnt make the slightest difference why are u still commenting. obviously it does. i just ate the lunch in my lunchbox. thanx

this is rediculous, take a joke out of context and then you have incopetent ppl like this to open their mouths. i kno melissa, and by no means did she mean to disrespect ne one, i dont kno how that could but whatever. i kno this person is black...the thing is instead of getting mad at this get mad at the way blacks treat each other, not how other ppl treat us. get up and listen, why did we having a stabbing at an awards show (black awards show none the less) and nothing was said in the black community, but when we have someone stand up like Bill Cosby and say that blacks need to educate their kids he got rediculed by the black community. maybe you are one of those who need to be educated more, bc you dont kno what you are talking about. i didnt take offense to what she wrote bc it wasnt offensive, and between her and someone else not you so why are you talking about something you have no insight into. i get upset at bigger and more important things, read the paper and get mad dont read a livejournal and get mad.

she may not meant to have disrespected no one. but its still offensive. thats fine if u dont take offense. i do. and i do have insight since she decided to use my race and language as a joke. i dont care what color she is or what color u are, doesnt matter. i dont care if she said it as a black person or a hispanic person or whatever. ANYBODY who thinks they can just put a language up and use that race/ethicity as a joke needs to reconsider. not funny at all. its disrespectful. point blank. and yes i will get on other African-Americans also if they step outta line.thats where i stand also. i dont discriminate. if they show disrespect, the same goes for them. and i do read the paper and more. and this is where it starts.comments such as this escalate into more. thats why i brought it up. lemme put it to u this way. a child may keep on touchin the stove top thinking its kool. and when he touches it, the stove is never on. the child never sees it as a danger. but one day he touches it and burns himself. im just letting her and anybody ( ... )

thats what makes black ppl look stupid. you get mad at the smallest thing for no reason. if you call yourself a christian then you would let this die and not worry about it and let God handle whatever she says or does. thats called being educated and a being a christian. as for getting burned, i dont get burned, i only burn others and you jus got burned so grow up and get life. if all you can do is get on someone's livejournal and say what they are doin then you have too much time on your hands. why are you even talking on here? you wouldnt even kno melissa if it was for me and if you didnt this wouldnt be a problem (well it isnt a problem ne way). what she did if it offends you then you should pray about it and then confront her as christian, not in an audience of others, stop reading the paper and read the bible, thats what you need to do. im sorry this thing has gone on soo long melissa, you dont deserve this, jus delete the comments as tough is never happened.
