and it is still as important to me today as then...

I cannot shake this feeling
in the back of my head
there is something I must remember
never left to forget
it happened two years ago
seems lifetimes yet days

two years ago this moment
everything was fine
nothing seemed different
I was on my way to class
had to get my coffee

it was then it all began
the world we know ended
smashed to pieces
hatred ruled this country
and took many lives
of people I love and those I never met

my life has changed so much
why so many had to go?
why did they have to die?
what did they do that was different then me?

only making our nation angry..
bonding as a country
coming together to help
not tear us apart
we may have our differences
spats and miscommunications
but just for today
touch someone elses life in a good way.......
