Today
I went to Detroit with Amber, my friend from freshman year in high school. This is the first time we've seen each other since we were 15, so it's been almost a decade. We got caught in the rain, walked all over downtown, took the people mover a few times, went to the casino (didnt gamble though, since Skyler (her son) was with us). I also finally got to meet Chris, her husband. It was funny though, because since she talks about him nonstop it felt like we already knew each other. Amber and I both wore flip flops, the cheap ones, and they were wet and sliding off our feet so we walked barefoot a while. It was fun. We walked barefoot in Detroit. We ate at Hard Rock Cafe and the service sucked. Our waiter was a dumbass, messed up everyone's order 2 or 3 times, and he ended up paying for our appetizers and offered to buy us desserts, but we were beyond full. My mom watched Lily at home, which was nice because I got to take a baby break.
I feel good. I have a lot of energy. I could have walked all day. I love walking in the rain, especially when it's a warm rain. It's so refreshing to me for some reason.
