unlike most of the recent Disney Channel Original Movies, some of which were based on some of the ongoing series Disney is currently airing or other fun things, i found the plot to "Radio Rebel" interesting, and not just because it was set in my neighbourhood, sort of, but because i felt it would have a positive message in it. i wasn't let down. there were two main things i noticed and enjoyed about the show.
first, i feel it showed kids that there are some bullies who have a reason, including being picked on once themselves, for being that way later in life; everyone can change, whether for the better or worse, but that's never a one-trick pony, nor a one-way ride, and people can always change again, if given the chance.
second, i enjoyed watching something that was so obvious and straightforward and repetitive in a graceful way about kids being who they are, and that there is nothing wrong with them; that they are more beautiful when they are being honest to themselves and the world than when they try to conform to the status quo, which is overrated and ridiculous.
if you haven't watched it yet, Disney is sure to repeat it, and i recommend everyone watch it with their kids or any children they know, because it's a great lesson for them overall, and a fun show as well.
