Cheyenne's Concert at the Oxford Valley Mall (08/27/06)
This blog is going to take FOREVER because I have 1 zillion pictures on it lol. But anyways, let me tell you about the Cheyenne mall concert I went to on Sunday. Cheyenne was playing at Oxford Valley Mall (next door to Sesame Place) so my friend Jen and I decided to go. It was only about an hour away. We got there around 11:30am and it was PACKED! And unfortunely we had to get Cheynne’s CD AGAIN... I like the CD but I don’t want 100 copies of it. Anyways, we got the CD and when we got back downstairs… guess who we saw shopping? Joey and Ethan! (Cheyenne’s guitar people). Joey knows us already because he sees us so many times. So when he saw us, he was all like… ‘Hey!” and he talked to us like he knew us for years. “What’s going on? Cheyenne’s on the tour bus right now with her friend from Philly. We played at Arthur Ashes Kids Day and she’s watching it on tv… and I gotta go back on the tour bus to see how bad we did.” lol… he was going to try to get some VIP for us so we could go on her tour bus and stuff… unfortunely I don’t think they allowed it - they were super strict. But I LOVE HIM lol. Anyways, so finally we get into the concert area… and guess who the special guests were? DANTY KANE! P. Diddy’s making the band group. I’m not a huge fan but it was a big surprise, which is always cool. They didn’t perform, they just did a Q & A and also signed there CDs (if you bought it, I didn’t.). The mall was BOILING!!! I do not why they keep malls that hot, it’s ridiculous. Anyways, awhile after Danty Kane, Cheyenne came out to do a Q&A. Here are the pictures I took from that:
After her Q&A, Matt White (her opening act) then performed. He was pretty good! He reminded me a lot of Gavin DeGraw… not looks-wise, but voice-wise. He also signed this postcard thing of his. Here’s pictures from when he was performing:
After him, it was time for Cheyenne (around 4:30pm)… FINALLY!!! Here was the crowd upstairs waiting for her to start singing (and this only some of it... it was WAY x10 more than that!):
She sang a bunch of songs… “Hanging On”, “One Original Thing”, “I Want To”, “Four Walls”, “Full Circle” “Hello Goodbye” and “Didn’t I”. I think that’s all… not 100% sure. I videotaped her singing both, “Hanging On” and “One Original Thing”. Here are the pictures from when she was performing:
After that we went up to FYE to meet her. We tried to be last because we knew that if we would be, she would DEFTINELY take pics with us. However, apparently the last couple people knew that too… that sucked. I still got a picture of Jen and Cheyenne together… which is good because she didn’t meet her yet and I have. I didn’t really care that much for myself… there’s always next time. Then we found her TOUR BUS!!! And we went to it and they said, “The band and Cheyenne already left” which I STILL think is such a lie. I knowwwwwwwwww they were in there. 80% sure lol. Oh well. Then we went to Friendly’s and home. We got home around 9:30pm.
