I have to give King Kong an A-. The reason why I can’t give it that A+ is because it took an hour just to get to the damn island with King Kong. I just wanted to get straight to the gorilla, and of course that wouldn’t have made a good movie but that’s what I wanted anyway. The girl also didn’t try to protect King Kong enough from the people who were trying to capture him. The movie was over three hours but the time passes quickly. The special effects were AMAZING with all the human-sized bugs, bats, dinosaurs, scenery, everything! The acting was great! It was good to see Jack Black in a serious roll for once. It was scary, funny and sad and they were actually able to pull a movie together with all different emotions and make it work. There were some really beautiful parts to this movie too. My favorite part was when King Kong falls on the ice at central park and gets covered in snow. It might sound really ridiculous, but it was really a magical moment. Also, when King Kong and the girl watch the sunset together, it’s one of those parts that have no words. You can just immediately feel the trust they have between each other. It’s beautiful. I don’t think I ever cried so much at a movie before. It's worth every penny (and more) that was spent bringing it to the screen. I would recommend everybody to see this movie
