3 Sentence Drabbles

Porcelain
Gokudera was not a fragile person, and he’d fuck up anyone who thought otherwise. Because of this, it took Yamamoto awhile to understand why he sometimes looked as if he was crafted from porcelain, ready to crack at a moment’s notice. Although he couldn’t fix the other boy’s childhood, he could make sure that no one would ever shatter his delicate heart again.
Vinegar
If Gokudera was vinegar-sharp and difficult to handle in large doses-then Yamamoto was oil. He’d mixed himself into Gokudera’s life until the bomber conceded that he’d always be there, floating on the surface of his existence. Vinegar and oil fit well together, the first giving things a kick while the second tempers; it would be hard to think of one without the other.
Cigarettes
Yamamoto had never understood the appeal of cigarettes. He knew that other kids tried them because they thought they would look cool and grown-up, but to the baseball junkie they were just a disgusting, inexplicable habit. Thus, his surprise was understandable when he caught himself thinking how sexy the smoke looked curling out of the Italian exchange student’s mouth.
Conversation
“You mean to tell me that a fukuko is bringing luck to your games? I knew you couldn’t be that talented on your own.” There were still insults thrown in, but it was the first conversation they’d have during which Gokudera actually looked happy to be spending time with Yamamoto.
Taste
Scientifically speaking, it was impossible to taste emotions. Any self respecting person with at least 30% of their synapses functioning knew that. But Gokudera began to doubt such statements when he tasted joy on Yamamoto’s tongue the first time they kissed.
