[fic] Dolomiti (G/Ugetsu)

Nov 09, 2010 14:46

Title: Dolomiti
Pairing: G/Ugetsu
Rating: PG-13-ish for language and sexual situations
Word Count: 3,000~
A/N: Written for hanashiki’s 2nd Anthology and the hc_bingo prompt homesickness. A big thanks to my beta, the lovely lindenmae! <3  Any mistakes are entirely my fault.  Also, beware of my characterization of Ugetsu--in my defense, we don't really know much about him.

The air smells sweeter in Japan. )

I really liked this &hearts I've always wondered how Ugestsu must have felt being mixed in with all the crazy Italian guys. Nice job :)

Thank you! I had to use a lot of head canon for this, so I'm glad you thought they were in character. ^^;

I absolutely loved this when I read it in the anthology. I think the scene with Lampou is my favorite for some reason. Wonderful fic. :)

Thank you! I was a little worried that I was destroying Ugetsu's character by making him so angsty, but I can't imagine him leaving Japan without feeling at least a little homesick. Haha, the Lampou scene was fun to write. ^^

Aaaah brilliant description of Asari Ugetsu’s culture shock and your application of the Urashima Taro folktale in this fic perfectly fits Asari’s situation. ♥

I wonder what the title of the other tale (the moon princess with the edelweiss) is though.

Yay for G taking the initiative to ‘attack’ Asari :D

Oh, how I luv a sweet happy ending! ♥

Thank you! I found the moon princess legend just by looking up Italian folktales, so I'm not sure what the real title is. I'm glad you liked the plot. ^^

I love happy endings, too. <3
