I figured since I was awake (and actually feeling rested) and Glenn isn't, I'd check in and say hello.

Tuesday went by pretty slow until around 5ish, when I dilated VERY quickly and our nurse Amy had me start pushing. Well, apparently I am a good pusher because after 3 sets of 3 pushes, they called the doctor as I was crowning. Unfortunately for me, he was across town at their other office and was approximately 30 minutes away. They had me stop pushing, lay on my side and hold that little guy in until the doctor could get there! Once he arrived though, it was only about 4 more pushes and Glenn was here. We spent Tuesday night and Wednesday night at the hospital and we were home by Thursday late afternoon. Greg was able to stay with me the whole time but we did utilize the nursery Wednesday night as Glenn made Tuesday night go very rough and I got very little sleep (and I had been awake since 5 that morning without a nap).

Breast feeding is going as well as could be expected, I suppose. The first day he had a LOT of trouble nursing from the right side but thanks to the help of several nurses at the hospital, we found a better way to get him to approach it and now he's a little pro. My milk is definitely coming in-this morning I was greeted with a new found firmness (and a good amount of pain) so hopefully the next couple of days he'll be able to start really getting the good stuff.

We welcomed Glenn David Hunter into this world and our family September 28th, 2004. He was 7 lbs, 11 ounces and 20" long.
