Just when I thought all was done...
I got a fucking bill from the Uber Ear guy. They claim they've billed my insurance once already however my insurance says different. My insurance says they've never seen a claim for that date for that doctor. I call Uber Ear guy's office again and turns out, it was refiled 01/13/04 and the statement closed on the 14th. Way to go, assholes. You're showing me as 60 days past due (not that I ever got a 30 days past due notice) and you never filed the claim?!? AAAAAUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
Then this morning, I had an appointment at 10 to see Kim. I arrived at 9:45 and gave them my copay, blah blah blah, and then sat and waited for over an HOUR to get in to see her. Meanwhile, the mickey fickey drug reps keep piling in and out of the office-it's no WONDER the patients are all having to wait an eternity to be treated...these people are like flies on poop! Anyway, I get in to see Kim (she still looks like Barbie, although pregnancy gave her some fuller thighs and now I don't secretly hate her anymore for being gorgeous and skinny) and she looked over my chart/listened to me breathe/heaved a heavy sigh and asked me what I thought might work. I told her the antibiotics over last weekend helped a little but not enough to knock this thing out of the water. She gave me a scrip for more Tussinox-this stuff tastes terrible and it's thick so it's REALLY gross but it works pretty well at keeping me quiet and knocking me on my ass. She also gave me a scrip for some antibiotics in case I feel like I might benefit from them (I will most likely have G pick those up for me tomorrow) and a note for work on Monday with instructions to call if I still feel as though death has visited but decided I was too sick to stick around.
It's raining so I won't be walking with Kebby today, but the good news is that I get to meet moderngypsy today and I'm excited about that.
